Ginger-Soy Sauce

Copied almost verbatim from Michael Vineys.

12 cloves minced garlic
 ¼ cup minced ginger, must be fresh
 ¼ cup soy sauce
 ¼ cup honey
 ½ cup rice vinegar   
 ¼ cup brown sugar
  1 tablespoon crushed red pepper
  1 bunch green onions, chopped ¼ inch
 ¼ cup sesame oil
  2 cups water, divided
2-3 tablespoons cornstarch
 

In sauce pot add garlic, ginger, red pepper, sesame oil.  Sauté for 3-5 minutes.  Add soy, honey, vinegar and 1 cup water.  Reduce by ½.  Add 1 cup water mixed with cornstarch.  Stir vigorously till boiling.  Cut off heat and add green onions.

Great on grilled tuna steaks.
