Basic White Rice

Create your own rice steamer using foil and the sauce pan lid.

2 ½ cups water
    1 cup converted rice
       salt to taste

 

Bring water to a full boil in a medium sauce pan.  Add rice and stir;  bring water back to a boil. Cover top of pan tightly with a piece of foil and place lid over foil.  Reduce heat to simmer and cook for at least 20 minute without lifting the lid and foil.  After 20 minutes check and continue to simmer covered until all water is absorbed
