Beef Noodle Casserole

Undoubtedly no weight loss/control diet on the planet would include this recipe.  Let your conscience be your guide.  It is rich and, therefore, very delicious.

Use caution adding salt because the tomato sauce, cream cheese and sour cream contain salt.
 

1 (8-ounce) package fine egg noodles
1 pound ground beef
  
salt and pepper to taste
2 (8-ounce) cans tomato sauce
1 (8-ounce) package cream cheese, softened
 

¼ cup sour cream
cup chopped green onion
¼ cup chopped green pepper
 1 teaspoon dried tarragon
 

Preheat  oven to 375°.  Butter a deep, medium size casserole dish.

Cook noodles, drain and set aside.  Sauté meat and season to taste.  Stir in tomato sauce.  Combine remaining ingredients.  Spread half the noodles in buttered casserole dish.  Top with half the cheese and half the meat mixture.  Repeat using remainder of the noodles and meat mixture.  Bake covered  for 30 minutes.
